The accommodation exceeded my expectations. I admit that I expected worse. The opposite was true. Booked 2 nights in a standard room without a view of the Pyramids. The first night, they apologetically accommodated us in a neighboring hotel across the street. When we arrived in the room and stepped onto the balcony, we were blown away by the view of the pyramids. This view awaited us even after waking up straight from bed. We had breakfast on the hotel terrace as booked. After breakfast, we left our luggage at the reception and spent the day at the pyramids in Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur. In the evening, after arriving from Darfur, a second surprise awaited us. We were given a room with a view of the Sphinx and the Pyramids. It was not as breathtaking as the first night in the hotel next door, but it was a nice apology from the hotel for the first night. In the evening, we watched the sound and light show at the Pyramids from the hotel terrace while having a cup of tea. The view was excellent, but the level of the show disappointed us. The hotel staff were very nice. We did not use the additional services of the hotel (taxi, guide, excursions) and they did not offer them to us. They just mentioned that they would be happy to help if needed. Thanks to the closed windows in February, the noise and smell of camels and horses did not bother us at all. Breakfast: varied, Arabic, large selection Room: clean, renovated If I visit the Pyramids in Giza next time, I will stay at this hotel again. The performance & price ratio = excellent. It looks like an advertisement for this hotel, but that's how we enjoyed our stay there in mid-February 2025. Thank you. :-)

Hayat Pyramids View Hotel offers an affordable stay with one major highlight: the view. If you get a room or spend time on the rooftop, the view of the Pyramids is truly impressive — probably the best part of the experience. The hotel itself is fairly basic. The rooms are functional but show signs of wear, and the bathrooms could use some updating. Cleanliness was okay, though not spotless, and the linens and towels were adequate. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but service could feel inconsistent at times. Communication in English worked, though sometimes with a bit of patience. The rooftop restaurant/bar area is a nice place to sit in the evening, though the food is average at best. The location is great for visiting the Pyramids, but keep in mind that the surrounding area can feel hectic and is very tourist-heavy. Some street noise and calls to prayer early in the morning are part of the atmosphere, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. In short, Hayat Pyramids View Hotel is a decent, budget-friendly option for travelers wanting to be close to the Pyramids. It’s not fancy, but if your expectations are realistic, it can be a convenient and memorable base for exploring Giza.

- Majestic view from the rooftop (the pyramids and sphinx are right there!). - Friendly and very helpful staff in the reception area! - I've read some bad reviews saying bad things about the location, well, that's the area (it's not a fancy neighborhood), if you are there for visiting the pyramids, it's a 2 mins walk from this hotel. - The breakfast was good. - They will give you complimentary bottles of water (do not drink tap water in Egypt, not even for brushing your teeth). - This is not a fancy hotel and we knew that when we booked it, I wasn't expecting much but... to be honest, the room was very comfortable (before taking a shower, make sure the water heater is on). - The staff in the rooftop is super friendly and very helpful (you can order food and drinks there). Just go there at night and enjoy the pyramids light show (for free, just because you are staying at this hotel with this privileged view, ha!). They changed the schedule and it's not happening every night (I think it's 3 nights a week but, obviously, the hotel has nothing to do with this, the light show is an event happening in the pyramids area).

If you are coming to Cairo to see the main historic sites then stop at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable and friendly. The location, next to the Giza Plateau, means the that Pyramids, Sphinx and other sights on the Plateau are within walking distance. The view of these sights from the hotel's roof sitting / dining area is astonishing. Furthermore, since Giza is out of the main city and on the west bank, this means that other sights not to be missed, such as Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis, are within easy travelling distance and you do not need to travel though busy Cairo to visit them. When you do wish to visit central Cairo, for the Egyptian Museum for example, just grab a cab and then return to the relative tranquility of Giza and this hotel. Finally, the new Grand Egyptian Museum, not yet fully opened but WELL worth a visit, is only a few kilometers away. In short, as a many-time visitor to Cairo, this is a great hotel. Go for it !

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is practically across the street from the lower (Sphinx) entrance to the pyramids. That made it easy to have an early breakfast at the hotel, walk across the street to the ticket office and be first in line to enter, avoiding crowds completely. Wifi was working only in the lobby during our visit, but they said it was due to a local outage. The view of the pyramids from our room was partially blocked by the neighboring building, but the view from the roof was perfect. You can also get a great rooftop view at the Pizza Hut next door. Beds were comfortable and the room was large (family room with pyramids view).
